Health & Fitness

Living a healthy lifestyle is especially important for teens.  Staying active and eating healthy as a youth can avoid health problems, such as heart disease, in the future.  In addition, physical activity has positive mental effects as endorphins released during exercise promote happiness.  According to the National Institute of Mental Health, teenagers should get approximately sixty minutes of physical activity each day to reduce the risk of stress, depression, and other mental health issues.  There is no time like summer to get outside and be active!
